Sophie is deeply committed to addressing a broad spectrum of clinical interests, including depression, anxiety, spirituality, trauma, gender and sexuality, and identity development. Her approach is rooted in a client-centered, strengths-based, and holistic perspective, ensuring a tailored therapeutic experience.

Sophie employs a diverse array of therapeutic modalities, including Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. This eclectic approach allows her to effectively support adolescents, families, individuals, and couples, fostering an environment where each client feels empowered to author their own narratives and embrace their becoming.

Central to Sophie's therapeutic practice is her belief in the transformative power of noticing oneself in context and the importance of building a therapeutic relationship based on curiosity, warmth, and respect. She strives to create a safe and welcoming space that recognizes and is rooted in an individual’s contexts, identities, values, and beliefs, collaborating toward goals that resonate deeply with the client’s unique life.

Sophie’s own identity as a Christian, cisgender woman, and queer-affirming Gen Z enriches her approach, making her particularly sensitive to the challenges faced by those navigating their personal and familial identities. She holds a special place for working with adolescents and families, helping them define and express their authentic selves.

Sophie enjoys a variety of hobbies that reflect her nurturing and creative personality, including knitting, paddle boarding, baking, thrifting, and engaging in board games. Her hobbies, alongside spending quality time with friends and family, offer her a well-rounded perspective on life’s joys and challenges.

Originally from California, Sophie appreciates the Pacific Northwest's rainy climate, which complements her introspective and thoughtful nature. Her approach to therapy, characterized by a commitment to witnessing and supporting each client’s journey of self-discovery and growth, makes her a compassionate and effective therapist poised to make a significant impact on the lives of those she works with.
