Get to Know Brittany

Meet Brittany Thomas, a relational therapist who holds space for the complexities and dualities that life throws us. She typically works with Queer and neurodivergent folks, but all are welcome in her therapy room. She enjoys therapy that focuses on personal development, identity exploration (especially of gender and sexuality), and navigating life transitions. She facilitates change with both individuals and relationships, and sees any clients ages 15 and older.

Brittany is trained in systems theory, which looks at the different larger social contexts that influence our life struggles and celebrations. She also brings a background of Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy to help clients identify goals for themselves. She then uses compassion and creativity to help clients take steps towards those goals, no matter how big or small. Brittany is active as a therapist, and engages in talk therapy as well as creative/artistic interventions with her clients. Clients and colleagues have described her as warm, bubbly, and playful.

Brittany is a Queer, cis, non-religious (but Midwest Christian-raised), neurodivergent, white woman. She understands that many of these are areas of privilege, and works to always be aware of how her identities intersect and differ from her clients’ life experiences.

Outside of the therapy room, Brittany enjoys her time with her loved ones, knitting, engaging in the arts (music, theatre, photography, movies, museums, etc.), weight lifting, and being in nature.

Brittany hopes to provide a space where you can truly let your guard down, open up in ways you can’t anywhere else, and to work with you to access more joy and lightness in your life.
